The app can store:
- Journal entries you create
- Homework log items you create, including optional due dates
- Optional mood values attached to journal entries
- App preferences such as guidance style, practice pace, and preferred start screen
In the current version, this information is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account.
Data We Do Not Collect
The current version does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It does not use analytics, ads, tracking domains, login, or third-party SDKs.
Crisis Information
The Couch Notes is educational and supportive. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
If you are in crisis in the U.S., call or text 988. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Changes
If the app later adds account sync, AI features, analytics, or other network services, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before those features are released.
